The building was designed by Ross Chapin and built by Gemkow Construction for Flowering Plum Ltd. The three co-owners, Diana Chamrad, Karen Vanderbilt, and Patricia Amsler, purchased the property in 1997 from Konrad and Carole Engeset.
According to Diana Chamrad, “We opened for business June 1, 2000. We have the two parcels. One on the corner is wetlands and in trust, never to be built on. At one time County used it to dump asphalt waste and we did find piles of it.” According to Philip Simon, Jr., “The asphalt waste may have been from a 1970 regrade of Brooks Hill road which raised the land where the Saratoga Creek building sits higher than the surrounding area.”
The building has been occupied by a number of mental health and wellness related businesses, plus several others, since it opened.
